Is earwax causing you problems? Look no further Ears2Clear can help to alleviate symptoms of earwax, with my at home earwax removal service.
Hello, my name is Nikki and I am a fully trained in the management of ear wax removal. What's different with my service? I come to you, no having to find a car parking space, no anxiety of being in town and no leaving the house! This service can be particularly helpful for those with anxiety, mobility issues or pain disorders by being able to stay in their home and not going in to town.
I decided to offer an at home service as this allowed patients the opportunity to book in at a time that suits them in the comfort of their own home, all you will need is a chair to sit in and prepare for the appointment with drops, ideally five days in advance, this can be standard cooking oil but I do recommend Earol spray that is widely available, Amazon have it to order, as the spray covers the ear canal as well as working deep within the ear (this is only a recommendation). I can also offer on the day appointments but if you do feel your earwax is particularly troublesome 5 days with the oil should be more beneficial. If you are to go for hearing tests it is a recommendation that ears are clear from wax

At home earwax removal can help to alleviate symptoms of earwax
Tinnitus is hearing a noise such as ringing or buzzing that is not due to an external source.
It can sound like ringing, buzzing, whooshing, humming, hissing, throbbing.
It may be heard in one or both ears and it may come and go or it may be heard all the time.

Symptoms of earwax, where you may feel dizzy and make it feel like the world is moving or spinning around and cause feelings of sickness is called vertigo, it can affect your balance and make it hard to walk or stand. With at home removal this can help you to feel safe that you don't have to leave the house.
Vertigo symptoms can return after earwax removal
Symptoms of earwax build-up include hearing loss or muffled hearing, earache, a feeling of fullness, pressure or being blocked up, alongside possible tinnitus and or vertigo.
Symptoms may have developed after a cold or after swimming. Pain may be experienced.
The consultation includes standard questions, including who your doctor is, what symptoms of earwax you have and any issues with your ears such as recent perforations where I will not be offering any treatment.
After looking in your ears and finding earwax and along with the consultation I will decide the best course of earwax removal for you, either irrigation or microsuction or a mixture of both.
Irrigation is a controlled flow of water into the ear canal, the machine provides safe water delivery and is much safer than syringing. The pulsating stream of water dislodges the ear wax which then falls in to the metal cup that is held under the ear.
It can take around 15-30 minutes to perform but this is dependent on where the wax is, amount and type.
Irrigation is not suitable for all clients, it must not be performed in people who have perforated ear drum, grommet, mastoid cavity, cleft palate, foreign object, or have had an outer or middle ear infection in the last 6 weeks
Irrigation is safe in alleviating symptoms of earwax.
Microsuction is the use of a suction tube placed in the ear to remove wax, a bit like a vacuum cleaner it sucks up wax into a tube and away from the ear.
If the wax is of a soft consistency the wax should be easy to remove, if the wax is too hard to remove it may need to be softened with olive oil or drops and a repeat appointment made in a weeks time. Microsuction is more effective when wax is softened and is safe in alleviating symptoms of earwax.
I aim to work with each client individually and at their own pace, this is further supported by being at home, I have the time to make the experience positive and if that means stopping for a break when performing earwax removal then so be it.
Just to make people aware that it may be uncomfortable and you may feel pressure, this is not true for everyone, for some it is a nice sensory experience but overall it will be noisy, with the suction running and the wax being removed there are some strange noises which of course are being removed in the ear by the eardrum. If wax is softened it should be a simple procedure.
I will not be able to not be perform any service on people who have a perforated ear drum recently or presently, a grommet, a mastoid cavity, a cleft palate, a foreign object in the ear, or have had an outer or middle ear infection in the last 6 weeks.

Ear wax is naturally occurring as it as protective properties, trapping and preventing dust, bacteria and other germs entering and causing damage to the ear, protection from water entering the ear and lubrication.
Excessive wax causing problems is best removed, for some people they may need to be seen on a regular basis just to keep on top of any over production and reduce symptoms of earwax.
